Highfield Humanities College is a secondary school for 11- to 16-year-olds in Marton, Blackpool, Lancashire, England. Highfield Humanities College, previously known as Highfield High School, is located on Highfield Road, Blackpool. In 2004 the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) awarded the school specialist school status as a Humanities College,〔(【引用サイトリンク】 publisher=Department for Children, Schools and Families )〕 focusing on the teaching and study of History, Geography and Religious Education. The school had a new building in 2001 which is used as the English, History and Art Department. A complete rebuild of the school is planned under the Government's Building Schools for the Future scheme. In 2007 the school featured in the DCSF list of schools that had made the best sustained improvements in their GCSE results over the last four years. In August/September 2012 the school moved into a new building on the old playing field.
